Les premières impressions d’Evan

« For me, the 5 differences between France and Finland, are the temperature, the time between sunrise and sunset, the attitude of the people, the flexibility of working times, and of course the snow ! »

« The company seems to be very interesting and the employees who work there look friendly. I was warmly welcomed. The company schedules are flexible.  We can start late and finish late or start very early and finish early. This is a new company, it was created a year ago which explains the cleanliness of the workshop. It’ s a good start, and I’ m waiting to see more ! »

Les premières impressions d’Axel

My first impressions from Finland are :

– » The life here has surprised me, it’s pretty expensive here compared to France but oddly enough services are not as expensive.

– How cold people seem to be ! like the weather ! They don’t usually say hello or goodbye in the shop and they are not very talkative.

– How beautiful it is, it was impressive ! Much like in Sweden and Norway. It’s also very clean here and much less polluted than in France. The country has also many beautiful pine forests.

– The history of Finland during World War 2 and before. Indeed, beforeWW2 Finland was part of Sweden and Russia tried to invade the country but couldn’t. Fact : Finland nearly lost no battles against the Russians.

– Finally, Finnish girls are very beautiful, more than in France ! »

First impressions about my work placement :

-«  How friendly my workmates are and how nice the sore is ! It’s very colorful and it has  a very ‘Be happy’ vibe to it.

– The diversity of people, tourists, Finnish locals, workers of the nearby construction site or even truckers.

– I was very suprised when my tutor told me about how common shoplifting is, to be careful and what to do. Twenty minutes after my arrival they caught two truckers who were stealing some goods from the store. »

Les premières impressions de Guillaume

« I was shocked by the snow on the ground because in France we don’t have a lot of snow

I was impressed by the commercial centers, there are so many of them !

I was surprised by what I learnt about the history of Finland during World War 2

I was shocked by the cost of life which is very expensive ! »

Les premières impressions de Galiléo

« My first feeling was very good.

A few differences between France and Finland :

  • Very wonderful snow landscape
  • The ways of working, they are quieter than the French way
  • Windows are smaller
  • Sports are different
  • More shopping centers

My company is cool, employees are nice, the products we sell are good. »
